Akila Bharatha Mahila Seva Samaja (ABMSS) was set up in the year 1993 in Bangalore to promote the social causes of child and people welfare. Over the years, the organization has morphed from a catalyst, supporter, promoter, and sponsor for many causes. Since 2013, the organization went on to add cleft work as its flagship programme. Our principal supporter, the German organization Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V., has been our partner from the very beginning
Apart from cleft lip and palate, the organization also supports congenital facial deformities, other birth defects, awareness work in rural areas; education of doctors and medical personnel involved in supporting the charitable cause; speech and myo-functional therapy; and nutrition for under-nourished and malnourished children.
Every child born with a deformity has the right to a dignified life and should be given a second chance at life
To provide children born with deformities the access to safe, well timed and quality surgery.
Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e. V. (DCKH) is a German organisation
that has been working to help children with cleft lip and palate since
2002. The organisation is internationally established and runs cleft projects
in Asia, South and Central America and Africa. In terms of the number of
surgeries and locations of aid, Indian is DCKH’s largest project county. As our
principal supporter, DCKH covers more than 50 percent of the costs for our
Cleft aid projects.
